1975 Doctor's degree in Pure Mathematics, University of Amsterdam.
Thesis title: Elliptic curves defined over imaginary quadratic number fields. A diophantine approach.
Thesis supervisor: Prof. dr F. Oort.
Much of the research done for this dissertation took place during my stay at the Mathematical Institute of Oxford University (UK) in 1969.
